Please join us on Saturday August 8, 2026 for the innaugural North American Friendship Run at Delaware Park in downtown Buffalo!
START/FINISH
The event will take place at Delaware Park in downtown Buffalo. Runners will enjoy a scenic run/walk through the park finishing near St. George Orthodox Church. The 5K starts at 8am and is a two loop course with the start line located a short 5 minute walk from the finish line (VIEW MAP). There will be one water station and bottled water will be provided to all participants at the finish line.

REGISTRATION & PACKET PICKUP
Online registration will remain open right up until race day. Packet pickup will take place at the finish line located near St. George Orthodox Church from 7:30am until the start of each race. Register by July 24th for guaranteed event shirt in your requested size. A small quantity of extra shirts will be ordered and distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis until they are gone.
5K Run/Walk 9AM START
$30 through June then $35 through race day
POST RACE CELEBRATION
The post race celebration and awards ceremony will take place at the finish line after the race. Participants will enjoy light snacks and beverages.
PARKING
There will be plenty of free parking near Delaware Park
AGE GROUPS & AWARDS
Medals will be presented to the 1st place overall male and female 5K finishers. Age group winners will also be recognized. All runners can print custom certificates and view finish line photos from the results page after the race.
14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and older.

CANCELLATION POLICY
In the event of foul weather, public safety concerns, or for any other reason deemed necessary by race organizers (ex: state of emergency, shelter-in-place, limit on social gatherings, etc), we want runners to know up front that we reserve the right to reschedule the event OR convert this to a virtual 5K race. There will be no refunds.
TIMING & FINISH LINE SERVICES
Professional timing and finish line services using industry leading Jaguar Electronic RFID timing will be provided by Race Management Solutions. Results are updated throughout the race in real time and can be accessed at any time after crossing the finish line using any one of the following options:
